Website speed optimization
Website Speed Optimization Guide
Website speed optimization guide for business sites—Core Web Vitals, images, scripts, hosting, and a practical improvement order.

Measure before you optimise
Use field data where possible (CrUX, Search Console) and lab tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest) on mobile profiles. Fix the worst templates first—usually home and top landing pages.
Guessing without measurement wastes budget on cosmetic changes.
Images and media
Compress and resize images to display dimensions. Prefer modern formats where supported. Lazy-load below-the-fold media. Avoid autoplaying heavy video in the hero without a strong business reason.
Scripts and third parties
Every chat widget, tag manager container, and marketing pixel has a cost. Load non-critical scripts asynchronously, defer what you can, and remove tags nobody owns.
Fonts should be subset and not block rendering excessively.
Hosting and caching
Adequate hosting, HTTP caching, and a CDN for static assets help global and pan-India audiences. Server-level improvements cannot fix a 5MB hero image alone—pair infrastructure with content discipline.
Sustainable performance
Add performance checks to your launch process. When editors upload huge images, train them or automate compression. Speed is ongoing hygiene, not a one-time project.
